All brands of kibble appeal to the masses which means you will have some bags of food that are good quality and some that are questionable within each brand. Your job as a pet parent is to look at every single ingredient list on every bag you pick up. Key things to look for and AVOID in the top 5 ingredients are as follows: Corn, Corn Gluten, Wheat, Soy, Brewers Yeast, Brewers Rice, Legumes, Lentils, Meat By Product, Any By Product. You want to seek out a food that has real meat, real vegetables and a proper grain as the first ingredients if doing grain inclusive.
Please understand that ANY kibble is highly processed and cooked at a very high heat which leads to little to no nutrients within the food no matter the brand. There are some brands that are not on this list because of the questionable ingredients they use, the recalls they have had or the lawsuits that have been taken against the companies for their questionable practices.
